A dog with strong bones, calm, confident. It is characterized by balanced behavior, persistent, harmonious movement and good area retention. Her eyes are dark and her hair color is now a rarity. The red color accepted in the description of the variety (standard) has practically disappeared from breeding nowadays. He came to Hungary as an adult from northern Macedonia, which belongs to the homeland of Sarplaninac. At his former owner, in the mountains, he protected the flock from predators. Due to its imposing appearance, proportionate, tight physique and stable nervous system, we see a role for this “izvorni” male in Sarplaninac breeding.
